BBL BroadBand Light

Sciton's BBL targets brown spots, redness and sun damage on the face, chest and hands — brighter, clearer, more even skin with little to no downtime.

From: $350

BBL — BroadBand Light — is Sciton’s powerful intense-pulsed-light system, and it’s one of the easiest ways to undo years of sun exposure with almost no interruption to your life. It delivers precise wavelengths of light that break up brown spots and calm redness, leaving skin clearer and more even.

What it treats

  • Brown spots and freckling from sun exposure
  • Facial redness and broken capillaries
  • Dull, uneven tone on the face, neck, chest and hands

What to expect

Treatment is quick — often 20 to 30 minutes — and feels like a light rubber-band snap with each pulse. Afterward, pigmented spots temporarily darken and then flake away over the next several days, revealing clearer skin underneath.

Is it right for you?

BBL is a great fit if your main concerns are color — spots and redness — and you want little to no downtime. If you also need to smooth texture or lines, we’ll talk about pairing it with Halo or another resurfacing treatment so you’re not paying for two things that do the same job.

Common questions

How is BBL different from a laser like Halo?

BBL is intense pulsed light, not a laser. It's excellent for clearing brown spots and redness with essentially no downtime, but it doesn't resurface texture the way Halo does. Many people use them together.

How many treatments will I need?

For even tone, a series of three works well, then occasional maintenance. Single sessions still make a visible difference on isolated spots.

Is there any downtime?

Very little. Brown spots darken like coffee grounds for a few days and flake off, and any redness fades quickly. Most people go right back to their day.
